Passed away peacefully at her home in January 2, 2014, in Petaluma CA, aged 92. Born November 28, 1921, she was raised in Nicasio, attended San Dominico High School and graduated from Holy Names College with a life time credential in teaching. Estelle was married in 1947 and together she and her late husband, August Moretti, owned and operated a dairy in Petaluma for many years. Upon her husband's death in 1965, she went on to manage the dairy for a year, but the call of teaching was too strong so in 1966 she began teaching first grade at Grant School in Petaluma until her retirement in 1984. For the following 15 years she continued her love of teaching by tutoring students in her home.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church, Italian Catholic Federation #127, North Bay Dairy Women, and past president of St. Anthony Farms Auxiliary.
She will be greatly missed by her children Linda Mendoza (Joe) of Petaluma, Albert Moretti (Teri) of Santa Rosa, Alfred Moretti (Linda) of Tillamook, OR, and Marna Moretti (Ryan Goodwin) of Petaluma. She will always be "Mimi" in the hearts of her grandchildren Jolynn McClelland (Robert), Jarrod Mendoza, Michael Rogers, Estelle Moretti, Keith Moretti, Daniel Moretti, Kimberly Moretti and great grandchildren Collin McClelland, Luke McClelland and Layla Mendoza. Beloved sister of Edward Lafranchi of Livermore and the late Henry Lafranchi, Wilfred "Will" Lafranchi and Arthur L. Lafranchi. Estelle was "Auntie" to numerous nieces and nephews. A special thank you to her wonderful caregiver, Sera.
