Eva Sue Escamillo - Passed away on December 17, 2012 in Modesto, CA. Devoted wife of the late Ed Hansen for thirty years and then David Escamillo for 14 years. Cherished mother of Sharon Byrne (Ron) of Modesto and Judith Lee (William) of Petaluma. Adored grandmother of Ryan Byrne (Kathryn), Eva Nunes (Chris), Daniel Byrne (Katie), Tyler Byrne, Loreen Jones (Sean) and Trevor Lee. Beloved great-grandmother of Kylie and Madison Byrne. Loving sister of Marge Yates. Survived by several nieces and nephews. A native of Springfield, MO, Eva, also known as Sue, graduated from San Rafael High School. She married Edjar Hansen in 1948 and together they enjoyed 30 years of marriage until his passing. Eva then married David in 1980, and they spent 14 years together until his passing. She worked at North Bay Savings & Loan for a few years as a secretary. In her spare time, she enjoyed golfing, sewing, jumble puzzles, her garden and cooked for â??The Kitchenâ?? for the underprivileged. By nature, she was quite artistic, excelling in beautiful floral arrangements and even did some Christmas window painting at her home. Eva was a great fighter against the adversities she endured. Though she had many medical challenges, she was able to stand up and face each one with courage. Above all, she loved her family; she will be missed.
