Eva M. Gold - Eva Marie Gold died January 12, 2013 at age 96 She is survived by her son, Ted Gold (Mary) of Carmel, two grandsons, Sol Gold (Robin) of Petaluma and Thomas Gold of San Rafael, one great-grandson, Michael Gold of Petaluma, her sister, Rosebelle Gold of San Francisco and by many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased also by her brothers; Maury, Harry, and Roy Sankey. The family wishes to thank her devoted caregivers; Myrna, Terry, Kristi, and Becky.

She was born on an Indian Reservation in Boyle, Alberta, Canada August 4, 1916 to Tobey and Max Sankey. In 1936, she married Sol Gold who predeceased her in 1943 during World War II. She never remarried. She went to work at the American Red Cross in 1942 and completed a career with them in Disaster Service for almost 40 years. A long time resident of San Francisco, she moved to Petaluma in the 1980's.While never taking a vacation during her working years, she spent her retirement traveling all over the world on numerous ocean cruises which she thoroughly enjoyed and which became her life. She enjoyed her membership in the Petaluma Womanâ??s Club, the Petaluma Museum Association, the Petaluma Garden Club, and the â??Scarlet Angelsâ?
