Eva Mae Peterson

Eva Mae Peterson - Eva Peterson, beloved mother and grandmother and native Petaluman, passed into eternal rest Sunday, February 1, 2009. Eva was born February 26, 1926. During her 82 years, Eva had various jobs. Her favorite was as day care provider. She cared for over 83 children in a period of 20 years. Eva is survived by her loving, caregiver daughter Schalane Norvell and husband Travis of Petaluma; daughter Jolene Sisseck and husband Larry of Petaluma, and their two children Maggie Sisseck of Prosser, WA and Jonathan Sisseck of Petaluma; sons Larry LaFarnara and wife, Lovana, of TX; Pasquale LaFarnara, Jr and wife Sharon, of NY. She is also survived by an additional 7 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Robert; parents Tommie and Maggie Younger; sister Lola Malone. She is also survived by siblings Ella Marie Younger, Sylvia Rasmussen and James Younger, all of Petaluma, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma on Thursday, February 5, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 6, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. PARENT-SORENSEN. Interment, Cypress Hill Memorial Park. The family prefers memorials be made to Shriners Hospital for Children or to your local V.F.W. Post.
