Evelin K. Santero

Evelin K. Santero - Evelin, born of Yugoslavian immigrant parents, grew up in Sebastopol speaking her native Slovanian language and learned English after she began her schooling. She graduated from Analy High School in 1936, the year the Golden Gate Bridge was completed. She faithfully attended every school reunion over the years and maintained lifelong friendships with many of her classmates. Upon completion of business school, she was employed as a bookkeeper and notary public first for W.P. Miller Insurance and then for Hunt & Behrens. Bernard Santero caught her eye at one of the many dances both attended in those days. The couple married in 1941. Upon the birth of her first son , Gary, in 1945 she permanently â??retiredâ?
