Evelyn F. (Genazzi) Gilardi

Evelyn F. (Genazzi) Gilardi passed away eight days after her 100th birthday. Evelyn was born, Dec. 5,1922 at 337 Liberty Street in Petaluma where her mother traveled from Point Reyes to stay with a friend who was a nurse. She was the daughter of Fred and Erminia Genazzi and lived her entire life on the family dairy ranch in Point Reyes. She attended Black School in Point Reyes Station and graduated from Tomales High School in 1941. She attended Dental Lab Training in San Francisco and worked for a short time at a dental lab. Early in the war she was called home to help at the family ranch. Her last job was working in the office of the Point Reyes Cooperative Creamery. She married George Gilardi in 1951. They resided on the family ranch where they raised three sons. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, brothers Harold Genazzi, Silvio Codoni and sister, Helen Codoni Brown. She is survived by her sons, Fred (Georgia), Tom (Debbie) and Ed (Pat), seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Dec. 19,2022 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary and Crematory, Petaluma. A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 20,2022 at 11:00 am at Parent-Sorensen.  Private inurnment will be at Olema Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to: Tomales Regional History Center, PO Box 262, Tomales, CA 94971 are preferred.
