Evelyn D. Mcdonald

Passed away March 29, 2022 at the age of 95. She was the wife of the late Stanley McDonald and loving mother of Cynthia McDonald and Barry McDonald, and mother-in-law of the late Doreen McDonald. Cherished grandmother of Stacy Royer (Nick), Kristen Fife (Justin), Andrea McDonald (Brian) and Matthew McDonald. Adored great grandmother of Evelyn and Casen Royer, Clara and Rowan Fife. Sister of the late William Gonsalves.  Sister-in-law of Merv McDonald, the late Shirley Silva and the late Leroy McDonald. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was born and raised in Petaluma, graduating from Petaluma High School in 1945. She worked at Carithers Department Store prior to becoming a homemaker after the birth of her children, and sheep rancher alongside her husband and mother-in-law. In later years, she volunteered at Sacks Thrift Store, was a member of the Holy Ghost Society, WOW Club and the Petaluma Elks Club. Evelyn enjoyed camping trips to Doran Beach with her sister-in-law Shirley, playing cards, going out with her friends, and having a cocktail and a good laugh. She was an adored friend to all who knew her.

Private family services were held on Wednesday, April 6,2022 at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary and Crematory with interment following at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to your favorite charity.
