Rohnert Park, California

Faith Ann Adam, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026. Born Faith Ann Kooiman on October 2, 1938, in Los Angeles, California, she lived a life filled with love, purpose, and dedication to her family and community.

Faith graduated from UC Santa Barbara and began her teaching career, touching countless young lives. On June 17, 1961, she married Gordon Thomas Adam in San Gabriel, California. Together, they moved their family to Rohnert Park in 1969 to open an Ace Hardware, where Faith contributed her talents both in the business and later with Farmers Insurance.

Despite her many roles, Faith’s heart remained with teaching. She returned to her passion as a kindergarten and first grade teacher at John Reed School, inspiring students and colleagues alike. Upon retirement, she and Gordon embraced adventure, traveling the world, meeting new friends, and creating cherished memories.

Faith also dedicated her time to volunteering, giving back to the community she loved so dearly. She was a shining example of kindness and generosity, always ready to lend a hand or share a smile.

Faith is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, Gordon; her son, Dan Adam and his wife Tami; her daughter, Suzanne Tyler and husband Bill; granddaughter Krista Adam; great-granddaughter Paisley; and great-grandson Weston. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Thomas William Tyler.

A Celebration of Life honoring Faith will be held at Cross and Crown Church 5475 Snyder Ln, Rohnert Park on May 8th at 10:00 AM, followed by a reception to celebrate her life. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
