Fernando Pereira Luis

FERNANDO PEREIRA LUIS passed away on July 6, 2017 in Sao Jorge, Azores at the age of 79 years.  Devoted husband of 56 years of Alice M. Luis. Cherished father of Laura Nunes (Jose Heduino), Alvin Luis (Diane), Maria Luis, Tiberio Luis (Angel) and Fernando Luis (Marci).  Beloved grandfather of Joseph Rocha, Andrei Rocha, Ashley Luis, Hailey Luis, and David Luis.  Loving brother of Alvarina Alves, Maria Analia Luis, Rogerio Luis, Tiberio Luis, Arlinda Prudencio, Cremilde Reis, and the late Regina Reis and Carolina Linhares.  Survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren. Fernando was born in Sao Jorge, Azores and emigrated to the US in 1973, finally settling in Sonoma County in 1984. Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass, Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. James Catholic Church, 125 Sonoma Mountain Pkwy., Petaluma.  A Visitation will be held on Monday, July 24, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma.  Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Petaluma.
