Flavia Carlsen

Flavia "Florence" Carlsen - Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away peacefully on March 9, 2011 just shy of 91 years old. She was born on May 24, 1920 in Brooklyn, NY to Paulo and Sebastiana Poli of Sicily. She was the youngest of 8 children. She is survived by her husband Walter Carlsen, her Daughter, Marion Pellendini, her son-in-law David Pellendini, her three grandsons and their wives: Tom and Brenda Reed, Dan and Ann Reed, Ken and Jean Reed and 8 great-grandchildren: Seth, Garth, Amelia, Bianca, Tory, Ashley, Joey, and Juliana. Walter and Flavia were married for 38 years and moved to Petaluma in 1978 from New Jersey. After suffering from dementia, Walter stayed, lovingly by her side. He made sure she was always beautifully dressed, groomed and accessorized. This was a true love story.
