Florence Ammons

Florence Ammons, a long-time Petaluma resident and one of 10 children, born March 30, 1927 in Oklahoma, went to be with the lord on September 11, 2015. She is survived by two daughters; Shirley Piehoff of Ukiah and Patricia Ammons, of Petaluma; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews who were like her children. Her sister Dorothy Helton of Texas and brother, Ray Crabb of Napa, CA. also survive. Florence was predeceased by her son Tony (Jim) Ammons and daughter, Joyce Barr. Services will be held Friday, September 18, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary & Crematory, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma, CA. followed by a burial at Cypress Hill Cemetery and reception/luncheon at Petaluma Valley Baptist Church, 580 Sonoma Mtn. Pkwy. A Visitation will be held at the mortuary on Thursday, September 19, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family wishes donations to the Baptist Church, where she was a long-time member or to your favorite charity.
