Florence Marie Fadelli

A native of Petaluma, FLORENCE MARIE FADELLI, known to many as Auntie Flo, Grandma Flo, or Froggy, passed away July 6, 2016 at the age of 90. Born October 21, 1925, the daughter of the late Eric August and Jenny Marie (Akerstrom) Lundberg. She was reared and educated in Petaluma and was Valedictorian of her class. Florence married Ernest John Fadelli on November 1, 1947. In her 30 year career as a bookkeeper, she had worked for Bank of America, Van Bebber Bros. and Henris Supply. Over the years, she particularly enjoyed her dog companions, drives around Petaluma, gardening, walking, puzzles, volunteering and participation in the American Business Women Association, Alphabet Soup, Petaluma Garden Club, Petaluma Wildlife Museum, Petaluma Museum and Heritage Homes. Many family and friends remember her for her strong independent spirit, sense of humor and love of hamburgers and ice cream. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest J. Fadelli in 1993 and her son Joseph in 1960. She is survived by her children; John Fadelli (Barbara) and Jeanne Fadelli (Denis Carrade). Cherished grandmother of Nicholas Fadelli (Amy), Michael Fadelli (Cristina), Ryan Johnson and Jena Johnson. Great grandmother of Tyler and soon to be Baby Fadelli. Sister of the late George Lundberg and Jenny Lundberg Lemos. Florence was the loving aunt of Ron Calegari, Frank Fadelli, Paul Fadelli, Richard Ghilotti, Donny Lemos, Marty Lemos, Art Lundberg, Linda Ghilotti, Jackie Lundberg, Diane Ongaro, Laurie Sheppard and Sylvia West. She is also survived by her dog, Queenie. Family and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service, Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 11:00 AM at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. Private inurnment, Cypress Hill Memorial Park. The family prefer memorials be made to the Sonoma County Humane Society; SRJC Foundation; Petaluma Campus Endowment (#4180) or a charity of your choice.
