Florence Eleanor Piepenbrink

Florence Eleanor Piepenbrink passed away on October 2, 2019 in Petaluma at the age of 95 years.  Devoted wife of the late Robert Piepenbrink.  Adored mother of the late Tom Piepenbrink and Ellen Piepenbrink.  Cherished mother-in-law of Patricia Petzar and Alison Marks.  Beloved grandmother of Alia Bartzi and Max Piepenbrink.  Loving great-grandmother of Hannah Bartzi.

Florence was born on March 30, 1924, in Steger, IL, to Ellen and Frank Johnson.  After high school, she went to secretarial school where she became proficient at short hand.  Florence then went to work for Bloomfield High School in Steger as an administrative secretary.  Florence loved her hometown of Steger so much that she chose to raise her family there, too.  She also enjoyed her involvement in the Swedish community in Steger.

When it came time to move west, the family settled in the Los Angeles area for nearly 30 years.  There, Florence worked in the corporate world as a secretary for an engineering company.  In 1995, she and Bob moved north to Petaluma.  Committed to her Lutheran faith, Florence was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Petaluma for the last 24 years.  Above all, Florence loved her family.  She was a wonderful woman and will be greatly missed.

Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Service, Monday, October 7, 2019 at 11:00 am at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma.  Interment: Cypress Hill Memorial Park, Petaluma.
