Frances (Arlene) Anderson

Arlene died peacefully at her home on July 8, 2018. She was surrounded by friends and family who loved her dearly. Arlene was born on March 3, 1930 to Maurice (Rudy) Frates and Maybelle (Nellie) Martin. She was predeceased by the love of her life, husband Raymond Leroy Anderson and her brother Maurice (Morey) Frates. She is survived by her 3 children Mark Anderson, Brad Anderson and Lori (Anderson) Molden, her 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She loved being a mother and grandmother. Family was everything to her. She loved to have the holidays at her house and loved the preparations for her wonderful holiday meals. She grew up in Petaluma and attended Petaluma High School. She met Ray while in high school and they became life-long sweethearts. In 1968 they started a trucking business called C & A Trucking. They worked together side by side for over 35 years. She was part of group of ladies who called themselves the Sewing Club. They have been meeting monthly since the 1940's. They would meet and share the letters they had received from their sweethearts who were away fighting in World War II. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family. She was well loved and known for her generous and kind nature. In lieu of flowers she would have wanted donations made to Hospice of Petaluma or to Shriners Children's Hospital. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 1:30 P.M. at Cypress Hill Memorial Park, 430 Magnolia Ave., Petaluma, followed by a reception at United Church of Christ, 925 Middlefield Drive, Petaluma.
