Frances G. Edwards

Passed away, Sunday, August 17, 2014 at home in Petaluma. Beloved wife of the late John A. Edwards. Loving mother of Charles Edwards and step mother of Deborah Edwards, John Edwards and Grace Fiandaca. Dear grandmother of Jason Edwards, Jennifer Edwards, Julie Perkinson (Chase), Ashley Ripley (Micah) and Aaron Harriss. Preceded in death by her siblings, Donald Gustafson and Paul Turncrantz. A native of Jamestown, New York. Age 78 years. A forty-six year resident of Petaluma, Frances was a member of St. James Catholic Parish and an active volunteer in the community. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, gardening and traveling. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. The Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 pm at the mortuary. Family and friends are also invited to meet at 12 Noon on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at the mortuary, thence to St. James Catholic Church, 125 Sonoma Mountain Parkway, Petaluma, where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Petaluma. The family prefer memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, Sonoma County Unit, 1451 Guerneville Rd.,Ste.220, Santa Rosa, CA 95403.
