Frances 'Fran' Hollenbeck - Fran Hollenbeck passed away in Petaluma on April 4, 2007. Devoted wife of the late William (Bill) Hollenbeck. Loving mother of Vicki Smith and her husband Donald of Petaluma and Sherri Hollenbeck of Woodland, CA. Dear grandmother of Dâ??Ron Smith of Mill Valley, Brandon Hollenbeck of Aliso Viejo, CA and Alana Smith of Mill Valley. Great grandmother of Marcel Smith and Savannah Smith both of Mill Valley, CA. Sister of the late Jack Wulff. Aunt to John (Sandy), Randy (Krys) and Jerry Wulff and their families. As per her request there will not be a service. Frances was born and raised in Sonora California. During her senior year at San Jose State she met her husband Bill, of 55 years. After moving around a bit, they settled in Mill Valley and lived there for over 45 years. She was a devoted wife and mother. Frances and Bill greatly enjoyed yearly adventures traveling throughout Europe. Bill wrote and published travel articles and Frances was the photographer. Her other interests included reading, crossword puzzles, and walks around the bay with Bill. Frances was a school secretary for the Mill Valley Schools for nearly 30 years. She worked at Marin Terrace, Homestead, and Park schools. She was well loved for her easy going and gentle ways with the children, teachers, and parents.
