Frank J. Mantellina

April 17, 1935 — December 30, 2017

Frank was born in San Francisco in 1935 and then moved to Corte Madera in 1946.  He was in the first graduating class of Marin Catholic High School.  He entered the Air Force at the age of 18 and served 6 years in regular service; numerous years in the Reserves.  He worked for Metropolitan Life for 29 years, 10 years of which was in the Computer Center in Wichita, Kansas.  He returned to the Bay Area in 1982, where he joined the Tiburon Post Office until his retirement in 1998.  He and Nancy moved to Santa Rosa in 1998, where they resided until his passing.  He is survived by his wife, Nancy, four daughters, Terry, Kris, Liz and Gina, as well as six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  “Baseball Frank” as he was known, was a lifetime Giant’s fan and season ticket holder.  Frank was a devout and devoted Catholic who attended Holy Spirit and attended Mass regularly.  Frank was an avid volunteer who loved being out and about meeting old friends and making new ones.  Frank will be missed by many.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Rosary on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 10:15 A.M. with a Mass to follow at 11:00 A.M. at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1244 St. Francis Road, Santa Rosa, CA., 95409. Private Inurnment at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
