Fred J. Crikos

Passed away at his Sebastopol residence on October 30, 2013 at the age of 78 years. Devoted husband of Barbara Crikos. Loving father of John (Lisa) Crikos. Step-father of Jack (Kimberly) Brown, Sherri (Gene) Rarang, and Donald Brown. Adored grandfather of Sarah (Jason) Syvrud, Kelly Brown, Garth Brown, Ashley Rarang, Katelyn Hawks, Samantha Brown, Rachel Brown, and Andrew Jacob Brown. Cherished great-grandfather of Ruby Syvrud, Raylan Syvrud, and Teagan Brown. Dear brother of John Crikos, Isabelle Hollingsworth (deceased), Louise Barnes (deceased), Anita Glover (deceased), Joanne Tuttle, Erna Gates and survived by several nieces and nephews. Fred's family moved to San Bruno, CA in 1949. He began working for Reichardt Duck Farm in Colma and graduated in 1955 from Capuchino High School in San Bruno. Fred married his first wife Ellie Nordstrom before being drafted in the army in 1958. His son John was born in 1959. He served overseas until he was honorably discharged in 1960. Fred continued working for Reichardt Duck Farm and followed their move to Petaluma, CA. In 1965 Fred bought his first commercial truck. He married his second wife Barbara Brown in 1968. He expanded the business of F. J. Crikos Trucking, Inc. until the present. He was a member of SIRS# 100 of Petaluma, CA. A Memorial Service will be held on November 23, 2013 11:00 a.m. at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma, 763-4131.
