Frederick Charles Dolcini

Frederick Charles Dolcini, age 73, passed away peacefully at his West Petaluma home on December 22, 2018, surrounded by family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Karen; his sons, Fred Jr., (Kerrie) and Greg (Joy); his grandchildren, Charlee, Kelsey, Emmalee, and Sean; his siblings, Linda Lehto, Patrick Dolcini, and Sheila Thornton (Dan); and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles, and mother, Virginia.

Fred was born on August 26, 1945 and was raised on the family dairy, located in West Petaluma. He attended Laguna School, Petaluma Junior High, and Petaluma High School. While attending College of Marin, he worked at Corippo’s Market, where he met his wife of 51 years. In 1966, he joined the Navy and married Karen one year later. Subsequently, he returned to assume responsibility over the family dairy, where he bred the herd to top-quality standards. He excelled at all he undertook, whether it was racing motorcycles, founding a construction company, or running a successful dairy that became the #1 dairy for several years, as per the North Bay Dairy Herd Association. He sold the herd in 2001 and started a new career in heavy equipment construction, which was his lifelong passion. Anyone that met him knew he was never idle throughout his life, even until his last days. He will never be forgotten and will live in our hearts and memories forever.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 35 Liberty St., Petaluma, CA.  A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 11:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 P.M. at the Parent-Sorensen Mortuary & Crematory, 850 Keokuk St. Petaluma, CA.  In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to Hospice of Petaluma, 416 Payran St., Petaluma, CA. 94952.
