Frederique E.. Marks

Frederique Marks passed away on January 4th, 2026, at the age of 77. She was in her home in Petaluma, CA with her three children by her side.

She was Born in Abbeville, France on March 3rd, 1948, to Evette and Pierre Desclaire.

She worked as an au pair in England and Stewardess for Air France in her youth. After her daughter Malvina was born, she traveled to the United States for a short trip that ended up lasting the rest of her life. She married Stuart Marks and had two more children, Eden and Willie. She also adored her grandchildren, Isaac and Emery.

Frederique spent most of her life helping others overcome addiction. She worked for Sonoma and Napa County counseling women and families. Her willingness to help those in need and her compassion were an inspiration to many.

Frederique loved to travel abroad visiting many countries including Poland, Brazil, Portugal, and India just to name a few, she enjoyed cooking and baking, and later in life began to knit hats, scarves, blankets and more. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh. She loved to socialize and rarely missed a birthday, wedding, or celebration.

A memorial and celebration of life has been set for February the 6th
