Freedia Wilburn Pedrotti, 96, passed away at her home in Petaluma peacefully surrounded by family on December 2nd. Born in Covalo on April 26,1922, marrying Bob Pedrotti in 1944 (They met in 7th Grade). You could hear her sneeze from a mile away, and cheer an equal distance for every kid or grandkid from the stands in support, but you never heard her complain. Continuous banter and giggling with siblings brought infectious joy to those around them. I’m smiling as I write! The “Make-up Lady” at Carithers in the ’60’s, She was always sure to have makeup and dangly earrings on prior to starting everyday, even last week on a Family Thanksgiving Holiday in Tahoe.
Always up for an adventure, traveled the world and loved playing cards with friends till the end. A regular on local tennis courts and Golf courses, playing into her 80‘s. A life member and past President of Petaluma Valley Hospital Auxiliary serving 25 years in the ER. Preceded in death by her husband Bob, son Gene. Survived by daughter Ginny Pedrotti, grandchildren Chris (Denise) and Genene (Jimmy); great grandchildren Jocelyn, Jayden and Max. With appreciation and thanks to caregivers Vicky and Bonnie. Please make donations to Wilmar Fire Dept. or Hospice of Petaluma. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019
