Frieda Gladys Crandall

Frieda Gladys Crandall passed away at her home in Sebastopol on January 6, 2022. Devoted wife of Wayne Crandall who passed away in 2015. Beloved Mother of Dennis Crandall (Marcia), Charleen Kenney (Michael) and Lester Crandall (Claire). Cherished grandmother of Emily Harrington, Stuart Crandall (Kate), Caitlin Crandall, Laura Crandall (Blaine), Hayden Crandall (Teresa) and Ethan Crandall. Adored great-grandmother of Conor, Brady, William, Lucy, Olivia, Abigail, Vivian, and Kalen. Dear sister of Grace, Jim, and the late Lester Tunzi. Beloved aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.

Frieda was born in Petaluma on September 28, 1925 to Alfred and Gladys Tunzi.

She was reared in Petaluma, and married Wayne on June 21, 1948 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Frieda helped pack eggs for Charleen and Mike’s food service business for over twenty years. She loved being a homemaker and the house was full of music when Wayne would sing and play his guitar.  Frieda had many interests including crochet, card games, puzzles, and word search, and even played the accordion.  She also loved tending to her garden and will be remembered for her boundless energy. The family would like to thank all of Frieda’s caregivers, and especially Casey, who took care of our mother for over 8 years and our father for over 2 years.

Private entombment at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Petaluma.
