Galena Yankoff Bearden

On Saturday morning June 18th, Galena Yankoff Bearden graduated from this world of pain and uncertainty to the eternal rewards promised by Jesus Christ:”Behold, I am coming quickly! I bring my reward with me to repay everyone according to their works.” (Rev 22:12 TPT) Anyone who had any contact with Galena encountered pure love, with no exceptions.

She was born in Sacramento CA to Boris Yankoff and Lydia Eugenia Yankoff. She moved to Sonoma County in 1973 and never moved away from it as her home. From 1977 to 2022 she was a practitioner of the healing art of Jin Shin Jyutsu, seeing clients in a rented office, two separate homes in the Petaluma area and many in their homes. Her clients numbered in the hundreds, and she helped everyone who came to her.

She was married to Michael Bearden for 49 years, and they were blessed to have Rosella June Bearden born in 1992 to brighten their lives. She has a family of sister Nadia Shields, niece Sarah Shields, and great nephews Charles and Arthur Johnson, all of Chicago IL. She also has nieces Sarah Fine of Boston, Cathryn Yang of Ching Mai Thailand, Robin Fine of Honolulu HI, Carrie Bearden of Los Angeles CA, and nephew David Ross Bearden of Rochester NY, and many more great nephews and nieces of those families.

There will be a celebration of her life on Friday June 24 at Rosewood Events LLC, 351 Hicks Valley Road, Petaluma CA 94952 at 11 AM. Anyone who knew her and loved her or her family is welcome to join us.In lieu of flowers, the family would ask for donations in her memory to COTS (cots.org=Committee on the Shelterless, Petaluma CA) or the Redwood Gospel Mission ( https://www.srmission.org/ =Santa Rosa CA)
