Garrett Dean Hughes

GARRETT DEAN HUGHES, 21, died on Saturday, January 6th, 2018 in Petaluma. He is preceded in death by his loving great grandparents, Freddie and Mary Freitas. He is survived by his parents, Troy and Barbara Hughes, his sister, Heather Hughes, his brother in law, Giovanni Guadagnini, his niece, Jezie Guadagnini, his brother, T.J. Hughes, his sister in law, Danielle Hughes, his nephew, BoDean Hughes, his grandparents, Donald and Earline Protheroe, and Gene Bino, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He started working for Barlew Goat Ranch when he was 15 years old, followed by joining his older brother at Kval. He was training to be a heavy equipment operator with Northwest General Engineering at the time of his death.

There will be a celebration of his life at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary & Crematory, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma, on January 20th, 2018 at 11 am.

As per his wishes, Garrett will be cremated, and his ashes spread at his favorite hunting site. Any donations can be made to The Hughes Family, to help offset funeral costs, as well as set up a fund for his nephew, BoDean. Garrett was never happier in his life than when he looked into the eyes of his nephew, already planning their first hunting trip.
