Gary Eugene Baldwin

A truly wonderful man left us on New Year's Day, having spent his last days surrounded by family and close friends at his home in Petaluma. Over the last two years, Gary fought an extraordinary battle against the cancer that finally took him from us. His courage and resolve never waivered, and his strength buoyed the spirits of those who loved him. Gary was the founding partner in the CPA firm of Baldwin, McGaughey & Co., of Petaluma. He loved his work with a passion rivaled only by his love of family, and over the many years of his practice, his colleagues and clients became his dearest friends. His other passions, golf, the 49ers,sea cruises, and cooking gave him much pleasure and happiness (with the exception of his golf score). He will be dearly missed by his wife Marilyn, his wife's mother and sister, Marie Maddock and Carol Ellis, his brother Wayne (Judy) and his sister Gaylene (Jack Montgomery). He is also survived by his former wife, Jonnie Baldwin, his daughters Shelby and Brooke Galliata (Dave), his step-daughter Jennifer Pospychaia, and his grandsons Benjamin, Preston, and Christopher. He was predeceased by his sons, Todd, Tyler and Zachary and his baby daughter, Amy. A funeral service will be held, Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at11:00 am at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, Petaluma. The family requests in lieu of flowers, that donations be made in his name to the Sonoma County SPCA or Hospice of Petaluma
