Gary Douglas James

Gary Douglas James - Passed away on May 29, 2008 in Santa Rosa surrounded by his loving family. Devoted husband of Julie James of Santa Rosa. Cherished father of Tracy Lyn Lites (John) of Discovery Bay and Gary Daniel James (Leila) of Petaluma. Beloved grandfather of Justin, Karina and James Lites; and Riddick and Waylon James. Adored son of Kathleen James. Loving brother of Kathy Johnston. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Age: 61 years. A Native of: Klamath Falls, OR. Gary was reared and educated in San Francisco, graduating from John Oâ??Connell High School. Soon after, he married his wife Julie and together they enjoyed 42 years of marriage. Gary worked as a welder for many years, finally retiring in 2002. Also very talented, he made beautiful creations out of steel, stone, wood and stained glass. He was a member of Hessel Church in Sebastopol where he was very active in its ministry, from being a youth group leader, to camp counselor at Mt Gilead and Sunday School teacher. In his endeavor to understand the Word, Gary also led discussions in his Bible Study Fellowship group.
