Gary L. Martinelli

Passed away November 7, 2018 in San Rafael, CA, loving husband of Mary K. Martinelli. Adored father of Kathleen Alice Martinelli. Beloved brother of David (Teresa) Martinelli. Dear uncle of Brian (Olivia) Martinelli, Connor Martinelli and Trevor Martinelli. Loving son of the late Ulysses and Alice Martinelli.  Also survived by numerous cousins.

Gary was born in San Francisco, a member of the pioneer Martinelli and Lounibos families of Petaluma. He attended St. Vincent Schools, graduating in the Class of 1968. He continued his education receiving his degree from USF.  Gary retired as a letter carrier with the US Post Office in Rohnert Park after 35 years of service.  He is remembered for his love of the family ranch, being a drummer in a band with his high school buddies, volunteering after his retirement with “Meals on Wheels” and being a loyal Warriors fan all his life.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass, Monday, November 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. James Catholic Church 125 Sonoma Mountain Parkway, Petaluma.  The family prefer memorials be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society2455, Bennett Valley Rd., Ste B204, Santa Rosa, CA 95404
