Gary James Ramatici

Gary James Ramatici passed away peacefully on October 11, 2016 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife Janet, his daughters Sophie (David Nolan) and Mary, his brother Michael Ramatici (Sandra), sister-in-law, Sally Foley (Ned), 5 adoring nieces and nephews, and a large extended Ramatici and Tremari family. Predeceased by Stan and Evelyn Ramatici. Born January 7, 1953, Gary was a fourth generation Petaluma native. He attended St Vincent's elementary and high school, completed his undergraduate degree and MBA from University of San Francisco. He was a captain in the U.S. Army serving in Korea as a military policeman. Gary and his brother Michael co-owned and operated the successful Redwood Club for 30 years during which many of their loyal employees and members became lifelong friends. As President of the St. Vincent's Board of Regents, Gary was proud to lead efforts to complete the exceptional SVHS Athletic Field Complex. Along with his family and friends, Gary's passions included The Grateful Dead, Hanalei Bay, playing the piano, chatting politics, celebrating Notre Dame football, cooking and travel, near and far. Above all, Gary provided endless love, laughter and entertainment for 63 fabulous years. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 11 A.M. at St. Vincent's de Paul Catholic Church, 35 Liberty Street, Petaluma, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Petaluma Valley Hospital Foundation or the UCSF Foundation Interstitial Lung Disease Program. Funeral Mass
