George Beck - BECK, GEORGE" Entered into rest, August 14, 2010 in Santa Rosa, CA. Dearly beloved sixty-two year husband of Norma A. Beck of Santa Rosa, CA. Loving father of Karen (Willie) Curb and Janet Stapleton. Adored grandfather of Kirsten and Brian Curb, Deena and Brett Stapleton. Also survived by his loving niece, Marilyn Beach. A native of Eureka, CA, age 89 years. George served honorably in the United States Coast Guard during WWII in the South Pacific. As a Sales Representative with Gerber Products which extended thirty-five years, George at one time pitched professional baseball with the Oakland Oaks and Portland Beavers. In retirement, he enjoyed membership in SIRS and the Druids, as well as being an avid golfer and poker player. He has been a resident of our community for the past fifty-seven years.
