George Bottarini, Sr. - Passed away December 9,2012 in Penngrove, CA at the age of 100. He was the last remaining son of Enrico and Carolina Bonalanza Bottarini. George was a brother to Geraldine Croci, Claire Schlicht, Pearl McAuliffe, Florence Steinberg and a half brother to Aldo Bottarini.
George built his home from the ground up, and he was a very good neighbor. He will be dearly missed. At his request, there are no services. The family prefer memorials be made to Hospice of Petaluma or to Guide Dogs for the Blind.

In 1938, George and his first wife, Lena (deceased, 1993, mother of George Jr.) bought Twin Oaks Tavern, which George operated until being called up for WWII, where he was in the Naval Air Force and served as a bombardier on a B24. After the war, George divorced, and in 1947, married Scotty, his dancing partner, until her passing in 2010. 1947 was also the year that George got into the milk transportation business with Bottarini and Son. In his later years, he was a rancher with his friend, Joe Nunes.
