George H. Hale

GEORGE H. HALE passed away on August 30, 2013 in Petaluma. Devoted husband of the late Frances Hale. Cherished father of Ron Hale (Gail) of Petaluma and Sharon Hale-Tollini (Joe) of Sebastopol. Adored grandfather of Ryan and Michael Hale and Luke and Avery Tollini. Loving brother of Richard Hale (Joyce) and the late William Hale (Marlene). Age: 76 years. George was born in San Rafael, but reared in Novato. He attended elementary school in Novato and graduated from San Rafael High School. In 1958, he moved to Petaluma when he married Fran; together they enjoyed 53 years of marriage. George worked in the plastering industry for over 40 years. Throughout this time, he also raised beef cattle on the side. In his spare time, he could be found sharing lunches and spending time with his buddies, making sausage, or hunting and trapshooting. Above all, George loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. The family expresses their thanks to George's many friends who stopped by over the last two years to visit and brighten his day. Friends and family are invited to the Visitation on Thursday, September 5, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. At George's request, private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the United Anglers Inc., 333 Casa Grande Rd., Petaluma, CA 94954, the Autism Society, 4340 East-West Hwy, Ste 350, Bethesda, MD 20814, or your favorite charity.
