George Ray Hall, Jr. - Passed away peacefully after a long illness with his family at his side on Friday, February 1, 2008, at the age of 82 in Petaluma. A Penngrove native, he was the beloved husband of 58 years of Katherine "Kay""" Hall; the brother of Mary Lafranchi, Alice Weinholdt, and the late Bob Hall. George was the caring father of Georgia Dolcini of Petaluma and Tracie and Charlie Rinehart of Santa Rosa; the always-there grandfather of Billy (Stacie) Dolcini, Jason (Jen) Dolcini of Petaluma and Eugene Rinehart and Matthew Rinehart of Santa Rosa; the loving great-grandfather of Allissa and Christopher Dolcini of Petaluma. He was also the adored uncle of many nieces and nephews.

George loved being with his family at his ranch and second home on Pine Mountain above Cloverdale, and hunted those hills with his friends for many years. He and his family and friends enjoyed their times at the ranch, where he barbequed, planted his trees and spent many hours riding around in his jeep with his dog and taking his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren for jeep rides.
He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the US Army in the European Theater. He worked for Forman Plumbing and completed many projects in the area.
