George A. Perry - Passed away February 3, 2007 in Petaluma. Devoted husband of Rena Perry of Petaluma. Cherished father of Linda Shaw (Bob Lynde) of Graton and George A. Perry, Jr. (Marilyn) of Petaluma. Beloved grandfather of Tony Shaw (Salome), Rob Shaw (Loretta), Ben Perry (Jeanette), and Matt Perry. Adored great-grandfather of Shantel Shaw, Colton Shaw, and Ethan Shaw. Loving brother of the late Manuel Perry and Ed Perry. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Dear godfather of Rita Hewitt, Scott Morgan, and Gloria Hawkins. Special thanks to his caregivers, Jonah and Nettie.
Age: 87 years.
George was born and reared on a dairy in Stockton, CA. His family moved to Petaluma where they ran a dairy until 1958. After his retirement, he established Perryâ??s Trailer Village Mobile Home Park and trailer sales until his second retirement in the 1970s. George was mechanically talented-there was nothing he couldnâ??t fix. He especially loved restoring vintage cars and was a member of numerous car clubs, including the Vintage Chevrolet, Redwood Chapter. He also enjoyed hunting and bowling and belonged to the Wednesday Classified League and Thursday Night Mixed League. Among Georgeâ??s other memberships were the Feather Dusters Square Dancing, Adobe Squares, Old Adobe Four Wheelerâ??s Club, St. James Parish, and the Novato IDESI.
Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Liturgy, Friday, February 9, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma, CA (707) 763-4131. A Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. Entombment: Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Petaluma
