George M. Tsurumoto

George M. Tsurumoto - Passed away peacefully on May 17, 2010 in Sebastopol with his family at his bedside at the age of 88. He was born in Ukiah, CA on July 30, 1921. He is survived by his caring wife Amy and loving son Warren, his loving son-in-law Ron Tanizawa and grandchildren Kristen and Eric Tanizawa of San Jose. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his son, Ronald, daughter Charlene Tanizawa, brothers Sam and Bill Tsurumoto, and sister Mary Kaya. He was a member of the Enmanji Buddhist Temple and Sonoma Japanese American Citizen League. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Enmanji Temple Building Fund, 1200 Gravenstein Hwy. So., Sebastopol, CA, or to Memorial Hospice, 821 Mendocino Ave., Santa Rosa, CA 95401. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Enmanji Buddhist Temple in Sebastopol. In his prime, he was in the apple business and belonged to the Sebastopol Co-op Cannery and the Apple Growers United. One of his greatest passions was fishing with his son Warren and his friends. He loved to garden and raised many vegetables.
