Georgette Goslovich

d. July 3, 2017

In loving memory we share the loss of our dear Mother and Grandmother, Georgette Goslovich. She was the beloved wife of the late Carl R. Goslovich, devoted Mother of Pauline and Carl (Sharon) and pre-deceased by her daughter Marianne (Thomas) and grandson Tony. She was the devoted "Noni" to her grandchildren Michelle (Cullen), Angela (Jeff), Jacob and Adam; and a "Great-Noni" to Orissa, Mikenna, Savannah and Owen. She is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins throughout the country, and by her dear sister-in-law Neve Stevens of Southern California. Born in Los Angeles, she was the youngest child of George and Vinka who had emigrated from Croatia. Her loving brother and sisters, Anthony, Mary, Nellie and Pearl helped her Dad raise her after her Mother died when Georgette was a child. She graduated from Our Lady of Loreto High School and at 18 met her future husband at a St. Anthony's Croatian Picnic where he told his parents on their way home that he had just met the girl he was going to marry! He did marry her and they were blessed with 53 wonderful years of marriage. A lifelong homemaker, she devoted herself to her family and her Catholic faith. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, St. Mark's Family Prayer Group, the St. Rose Young Ladies Institute, Lewis and Clark Trail Heritage Foundation and several charitable organizations. Our family would like to thank so many who helped us cherish and care for her along her journey: -The entire staff on the 3rd floor East at Memorial Hospital. Their compassion and caring were always there for us night and day. -The entire staff in Memorial's ER, especially Dr. Sanders and Julia Mathis. -The hospital chaplains who never let a day go by without a strengthening and comforting visit; and the very special visit and blessing given to her by Fr. Denis O'Sullivan of St. Rose Parish. -The entire "At Home Nursing" staff; especially our home caregiving angels - Mary, Adriana, Nancy, Fran and Jamie. -The entire staff members of Memorial Hospice whose encouraging guidance allowed us to bring her home and care for her at home. -Our own very special group of angels who were always there for us - Angela, Rainey, Joan, Kerry, Dr. Jacob Quihuis and Dr. Ellen Barnett. -We'd like to thank Mr. Joe Camilleri and Mr. Anthony Youngblood of Lafferty and Smith for their compassionate thoughtfulness and Mr. Clinton C. Mugurussa for his thoughtful guidance on our behalf. -Lastly we'd like to thank all of you who flooded heaven with the prayers that carried us through this holy time. She was indeed one of those considered to be from "The Greatest Generation." Family and friends are invited to attend and Celebrate her Funeral Mass on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Rose Catholic Church (398-10th Street, Santa Rosa, CA, 95401). Interment will follow at Santa Rosa Memorial Park. LAFFERTY & SMITH COLONIAL CHAPEL (4321 Sonoma Highway, Santa Rosa, CA, 95409) will provide Visitation hours on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., where a Vigil/Rosary Service will commence at 7:00 P.M. in the main chapel.
