Gerald Brian Crompton

GERALD BRIAN CROMPTON(JERRY) 78, passed away Monday, March 4, 2013 after a long, brave battle with Parkinson's Disease. Born on April 1, 1934, he was the son of (late) Gordon and Elizabeth Crompton. Jerry served in the Army as a paratrooper from 1952 to 1955. He met his beautiful bride in June 1957 and was married on September 25, 1959. They were married for 53 years. Jerry enjoyed a long career as an electrical engineer. He proudly worked for Chevron for 34 years before retiring in 1992. He loved being a fan of the SF Giants and 49ers, working on his 1961 Chevrolet Impala, traveling, reading, working in the garden, and spending time with his beloved wife and children. Jerry is survived by his wife, Brenda; son, David; daughters, Jeri and Wendy; grandchildren, Shawn, Megan, Trevor, Madeline, Savannah; great grandchildren, Angie, Eva, and Leo; and sisters, Gwendolyn and Janet. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 9th at 10:00 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Cotati. Visitation hours will be offered on Friday, March 8th from 5:00pm to 8:00 pm with a Vigil Service commencing at 7:00 pm at Parent-Sorenson Mortuary in Sebastopol.
