Gladys Cecilia Haire - Gladys Haire passed away at her Sonoma residence on November 2, 2010. Beloved wife of the late Wesley James Haire, Sr. Devoted mother of Judy Haire of Sonoma and Wesley James Haire, Jr. and his wife Karen of Napa, CA. Loving grandmother of Jonathan Haire of Napa. Dear aunt of Delores and Dave Radney of Camino, CA and Joan and David Collins of Napa, CA. Gladys was born in Guerneville, but grew up in Petaluma. She graduated from St. Vincentâ??s High School in 1934. While working after school at the L&M Soda Fountain, she acquired her nickname "Scooper""" and also met her future husband, Wes. The couple relocated to Sonoma in 1942 and moved to what Gladys called the """Chicken Ranch""" where she ran a prosperous egg business, selling to prominent restaurants in San Francisco. Gladys and Wes later purchased a cattle ranch in Sonoma and Gladys settled into ranch life. In her later years, she was active in community service and was a docent at the Toscano Hotel in Sonoma. Gladys will remain lovingly in the hearts of her family. ""
