Gloria A. Burton (Grandma Gloria) was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven at 7:04 AM on December the 3rd. She passed peacefully while at home in Rohnert Park, California with her husband David, daughter Julia, son Jurgen and her two dogs Mimi and Ziggy at her bedside. At the age of 67, she finally left her earthly body to receive her new glorified body.
Gloria was born in Viña del Mar, Chile. Her adventurous spirit led her to leave Chile for New York at the age of 20. Gloria lived a very rich, diverse and colorful life with panache. She owned several restaurants from New York to Guatamala including one she had built from the ground up. As a carpenter, she made furniture and helped build houses for a charity. She also was in the US Merchant Marine and participated in Desert Storm/Desert Shield. In her lifetime she has visited over forty countries. Out of all of her many achievements the one that is closest to her heart is her selfless devotion in caring for others.
Gloria is survived by her husband David Burton, daughter Julia Gendron, son Jurgen Gottschlich, grandchildren Austin and Ava Gottschlich, sister Erika Linzer and brother Cesar Soto Vera.
Gloria's Memorial Service will be held at 7:30 pm on December 6th at Calvary Life Church, 5965 Labath Ave, Rohnert Park, Ca. 94928. Please help us in honoring Gloria by wearing colorful attire.
In lieu of flowers, a fund has been created on her behalf to provide for the youth in the community called "Grandma Gloria's Precious Angels' Fund" through Calvary Life Church.
