Guy Lounibos

Robert Guy Lounibos passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at the age of 85. He had been in ill health since May 2020.

A life-long native of Sonoma County, he attended St. Vincent schools in Petaluma, the University of San Francisco and the University of San Francisco School of Law.  He served in the U.S. Army and was an attorney in Petaluma for more than 43 years.  Guy was a long-time member of St. Vincent de Paul Church.

He is survived by his wife, Hae Sook Lounibos of Sonoma, and his children, Michael T. (Maria) Lounibos of Sonoma and Timothy J. (Jennifer) Lounibos of Castaic. He was the grandfather of Nicolette and Shane Lounibos of Sonoma and Heeli and Spencer Lounibos of Castaic. Son of the late John B. and Elrose Lounibos of Petaluma. Brother of Renee O’Brien of Omaha, NB, John B. Lounibos Jr. of Blauvelt, NY, Philip Lounibos of Ft. Pierce, FL, Ann Trott of Petaluma, and the late William Gossage and Paul A. Lounibos of Petaluma.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

To all, he was considered a generous, kind and thoughtful man – a true gentleman.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated, Friday, December 10, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Petaluma, with a reception to follow in the church hall. Private interment will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery at a later date. The family requests all memorials be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
