Harold R. Evans

Harold R. Evans - Passed away on January 21, 2010 in his beloved community of Marshall for the last 60 years. Devoted husband of the late Cathleen Evans. Cherished father of Dan Evans (Dolores), Jerry Evans (Robin), and Cathy Rogers (Domingo). Beloved grandfather of David, Julie, Hallie, Lindsey, Ashley, and Alyssa. Loving brother of Bessie Moore, Alyne Anderson, Blanche Lieb, Grace Hunter, and the late Ted Evans, Louise Ostenberg, Lewis Evans, Dora Hansen, and Claire Matson. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Harold was born, reared, and educated in Petaluma, graduating from Petaluma High School. During WWII, he enlisted in the US Navy and proudly served his Country in the Pacific Theater. In 1950, he and his family moved to Marshall where he and Cathleen owned and operated the Tomales Bay Boat Shop. In his spare time, Harold enjoyed camping and fishing with his family and friends. He also enjoyed traveling extensively with his wife in their camper. In his later years, Harold took great pride in maintaining his home and garden on his own. Above all, Harold loved his family; he will be missed. Per his request, no services will be held. Family assisted by PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, Petaluma 763-4131. Age: 91 years.
