Hazel Ravenell Robertson

June 17, 1919 — May 21, 2008

Hazel Ravenell Robertson - Hazel Ravenell Robertson, beloved wife of William W. Robertson, slipped away peacefully at home on May 21, 2008 after a long battle with dementia, just three days after celebrating her 68th wedding anniversary. Hazel was a kind and loving wife and mother and will be dearly missed by her husband Bill, her daughters and their husbands, Patsy Marcussen (Bob Marcussen), Diane H. Davis (Henry Haberman), and Peggy Wing (Ken Wing); her grandchildren Bob Marcussen, Sheryl Moore (Larry Moore), Steve Best, Alan Adams, and Billy Wing; her great-grandchildren Robby Marcussen, Brandan Moore, Shayla Moore, and Steven Thomas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other family members, and friends. Hazelâ??s family expresses heartfelt thanks to her loving caregivers Judy Pozzi, Helen Jaso, Linda Brassfield, DeLaina Cochran, and Jenner Ninemires. Family & friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Thursday, May 29 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY-SEBASTOPOL, 301 S. Main St., Sebastopol, 829-5433. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will follow at Sebastopol Memorial Lawn, 7951 Bodega Ave., Sebastopol. Donations in Hazelâ??s memory may be made to Sutter VNA & Hospice, 1110 N. Dutton Ave., Santa Rosa, CA 95401. Hazel was born in Enola, Arkansas on June 17, 1919. She moved to Valley Ford soon after her high school graduation, and married Bill on May 18, 1940. They operated ranches (dairy and then sheep) north of Bodega Bay until their retirement in 1965, at which time they moved to Sebastopol.
