Heidrun "Heidi" Margit Slubik

After a two year struggle with a rare lung disease, Heidrun Slubik, 69 years old, peacefully passed away on March 19, 2013. She was the beloved wife for 50 years of Wilhelm E. Loving mother of Angie (Steve) Key, Willie Slubik and Chrissy (Bret) Talbot. Cherished Oma of Jennifer Harr & Steven Key, Brian & Chelsea Slubik, along with Brett, Weiss, Teagan & Brooklyn Talbot. Great Oma of Caden & Stetson Harr. Treasured family member to Sister-in-law Renate Klahr-Butter & Aunt of Peter, Perry & Mike Klahr with their families and Luke and Anneliese Stephan. Heidi has many family members in Germany. Heidrun Margit Klahr was born in Germany on Jan. 31, 1944. Heidi and Willie met and married in Canada on October 6, 1962. They have lived in the Bay Area since 1963 and resided in Petaluma since 1974. Heidi was a member of Elim Lutheran Church and member of the Hermann Sons Lodge for over 30 years. Her family remembers her for her love of knitting, cooking traditional German meals & enjoying her trips to Tahoe. We will forever love and miss her presence. Family and friends are invited to attend the memorial service, Sunday, April 14, 2013 at 2:00pm at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, Petaluma. The family prefer memorials be made to Hospice of Petaluma.
