Helen Daniels

Passed away suddenly in San Rafael on October 24, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Devoted wife of the late Bernard G. Steiding. Loving mother of Patricia Steiding and B. Garland Steiding, Jr. all of Petaluma. Doting grandmother of Caitlin, Wesley of Petaluma, and Paige Steiding of Davis. Dear sister of Soon Byun of Petaluma and Aunt of Hee Byun and his wife Nora of Rohnert Park, Young Ok Jun an her husband Danny of WA, Hee Bok Byun of South Korea, Young Sun Kim of Sacramento, and Jong Byun in Rohnert Park. Helen was confronted with many hardships in her young life but maintained a loving and giving spirit. She fled North Korea in 1951 and lived in South Korea until 1963 when she met and married Bernard. They moved to Petaluma in 1967 where she worked at Phonic Ear/Front Row for over 33 years as a Quality Assurance Supervisor. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. Burial will be at Cypress Hill Memorial Park, 430 Magnolia Ave., Petaluma on Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
