Helen Furukawa

Helen Furukawa - Passed away on May 9, 2008 in Petaluma. Devoted wife of the late Fred Furukawa. Cherished mother of Robert Furukawa (Kit) of Petaluma and the late Catherine Furukawa. Adored grandmother of Anthony Arrington (Angie), Tom Arrington (Jenni), and Kristina Furukawa all of Petaluma. Beloved great-grandmother of Victoria Arrington, Kimberly and Joshua Wolsko, and Tommy Arrington, Jr. Loving sister of the late John, Harry, George and Sachiye Nakahara. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Age: 93 years. A Native of: Watsonville, CA. A Member of: Enmanji Buddhist Temple. Former longtime resident of Salinas and Berkeley, Helen moved to Sonoma County in 1977. She loved to cook and take care of her dogs, but above all else, she loved her family. Helen was also very creative and musically inclined, making ceramics and playing the koto and piano.
