Helen L. Pelton - Passed away on June 16, 2010 in Petaluma. Devoted wife of Ralph Pelton of Petaluma. Cherished mother of Virginia Pelton of Petaluma and Elizabeth Lopez (Israel) of Woodbridge. Born on January 25, 1926 to the late Robert and Nona Young in Clendenin, West Virginia. Loving sister of James Young of Florida and the late Robert and Nona Young in Clendenin, West Virginia. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was 84 years old. Helen was born, reared and educated in Clendenin, WV. At the age of 20, she married Ralph in Charleston, WV, and together they enjoyed 64 years of marriage. Moving to Petaluma in 1946, Helen and Ralph owned and operated South City Market for 45 years, finally retiring on Halloween Night 1989. Having been raised in WV, she was a true â??Southern Belle,â?
