Passed peacefully September 16, 2014 in Sacramento CA.
Henry was born Oct 14,1924, he almost made it to his 90th birthday. Born in Petaluma, California to pioneer chicken ranchers Peter Bravo and Oliva Bravo who were both born in Switzerland. Henry went to schools in Petaluma and graduated from Petaluma High School. Henry served in the Army during World War II and lost his right eye for which he received a Purple Heart. He worked at the Petaluma Post Office for 48 years. He had to retire in 1996 prior to his goal of 50 years due to going blind from a fall. He is a member of the Petaluma Elks Lodge #901 B.P.O.E. where he is a Past Exalted Ruler. Henry and his wife, Linda, traveled all over the globe as well as RVing prior to his blindness. In 2006 Henry moved to Elk Grove, Ca to be closer to his wife's family.
Henry is survived by his wife Linda Bravo, 4 stepchildren, 8 step grandchildren, 5 sisters in laws and countless nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Peter Bravo, mother Oliva Bravo, brothers Leland Bravo, Arthur Bravo, sister Wilma Bravo, wife Joan Bravo and brother-in-law James Harrison .
Visitation will be held, Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014 from 11:00 am to 5:00pm at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. Family and friends are also invited to the Funeral Service, Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014 at 12:00 pm at the mortuary. Private entombment, Calvary Cemetery, Petaluma.
