It is with saddened hearts we share the passing of Henry Martin Metz, 85, of Santa Rosa, California, who passed away peacefully on August 10, 2014 at home surrounded by family and loved ones.
Henry was born in Dickinson, North Dakota to Caroline and Joseph Martin Metz on April 19, 1929. He was a graduate of Santa Rosa High Schools Class of 1947. He married Hilda Hinkson on April 23, 1977. He worked as a carpenter with the Local Carpenters Union 751 for 40 years. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
He served as a volunteer firefighter with the Rincon Valley Fire Department and retired with the rank of Captain after 25 years of faithful service. He was a member of The Santa Rosa Bone Crushers, Druids, American Legion and was a Charter Member of the Young Men's Institute.
Henry is preceded in death by his Mother Caroline, Father Joseph and Brother Joseph.
Henry is survived by his Wife Hilda, his Sister Kathie Chambers, his Sons Joseph (Norma), Ralph (Janie) and Edward, 7 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren and numerous Nieces & Nephews
