Petaluma- Henry A. Reynaud, Jr., age 83, died Thursday, January 10th, 2019 at the Hospice of the Valley Sherman Home in Phoenix, AZ following a brief battle with cancer.
He leaves his niece Carol Albrecht, and grand nieces and nephews, Tatianna Troop, Christopher Albrecht, Mark Johnson, Timothy Albrecht, Joshua Albrecht, and Hailey Albrecht, along with numerous great-grand nieces and nephews, as well as many longtime friends.
Born and raised in Petaluma, California, the son of Henry A. Reynaud Sr. and Julia Reynaud, and brother of Jeanne Reynaud Chaffin, he was a lifelong resident to Petaluma.
In his early years Henry attended Petaluma High School and after graduation he attended Menlo Business College, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Business. Henry then joined his father as a partner in Reynaud Motor Company in Petaluma.
Henry retired in 1983 and continued on with his endeavors of property management, wood working, hunting and restoring classic cars. His home was made famous as the main filming location for the movie Peggy Sue Got Married, filmed in Petaluma.
Henry enjoyed his longtime membership in the Sonoma A’s, Model A car club. He made numerous friends through the years and always had a story to tell about his time with each one. Henry was also a lifetime donor to the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona and enjoyed attending clinic events and learning about advances in healthcare.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, February 2nd, at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary & Crematory in Petaluma with a reception to follow. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 1st from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary & Crematory. A private family burial will also be held.
