Henry graduated in 1964 from the University of San Francisco and began his teaching career in 1966 at Rohnert Park Jr.-Sr. High School. In 1968 he moved to Rancho Cotate High School where he taught and coached until his retirement in 2004. During his 38 years in the Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District, he was a teacher (Exemplar Teacher in 1987), coach, mentor, year book advisor, and for over 15 years served as Rancho Cotate's Athletic Director (1984-1999). Some say he defined that job for all who would follow. He was the 1994-95 North Coast Section Athletic Director of the Year. He would not go unnoticed in a room, on a football field or in a gymnasium. He was passionate and quick to give his opinion, but was a generous man with a big heart. He will be missed by many.
