Henry A. Tabash

Henry A. Tabash died peacefully at home surrounded by his family at the age of 92. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Florence, his siblings Donald Tabash and Lorraine Moniz, his children Henry Tabash, Janice Rakitnichan, Patty (Babe) Tabash, and Anne Tabash, his eight grandchildren Sheri Carter, Sean Rakitnichan, Suzanne and Heather DeKelaita, Daniel and Brandon Tabash, and Andrea and Alison Sicoli, and his four great-grandchildren Alex and Jacob Carter, Collins Faltynski, and Shane Rakitnichan. He was preceded in death by his sisters Josephine, Joyce, Audrey, and his brother David. Henry was raised in Santa Clara and moved to Petaluma in 1960. He worked at Agnews Development Center for a few years before starting a career at San Quentin. He progressed through the ranks for 31 years and retired as Associate Warden. He enjoyed his retirement years by camping, fishing, woodworking (including making toys) drinking red wine, and spending time with his grandchildren. A celebration of his life was held on March 10th and a private interment will take place with immediate family present.
